| Primary Duties: |
- Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in performing chemical and physical tests required for the analysis of approximately 6,000 samples annually made up of a variety of materials containing suspected Controlled Substances submitted by over 40 police departments.
- Testifies, and supervises those who will testify, in Federal and State courts as an \'expert witness\' defending analytical techniques and results against cross examination.
- Responsible for maintaining the inventory of submitted cases and obtains, from the various police departments, authority to destroy the evidence from adjudicated cases.
- Writes annual report of drug case statistics.

| Qualifications: |
- Master degree (M.A. strongly preferred) or equivalent; or four to ten years of related experience and/or training;or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific journals, reports, and legal documents
- Perform simple mathematic functions such as fractions, percentages, and ratios
- Operate complex instrumentation such as an FT-IR and a GC/MS
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing. |
