Excellent! And welcome! Lamson is Andrews' undergraduate housing facility for female students. If you are an undergraduate, and under 22 years of age, this could be your home away from home! Lamson Hall requires a hard copy housing application form and a $200 room deposit before rooms are assigned, and financial clearance before check-in. You can print an application (see quick links to the right) and then scan/e-mail, fax or snail mail it to the address on the application, or you may have already received one in your AU acceptance packet. We'll assign room and roommate based on your application preferences and spaces available! Spring classes begin Tuesday, January 6, and new students are moving in Sunday and Monday, the 4th and 5th.
Although we have often also housed students who were in graduate school or who were old enough to be able to live off campus, our large undergraduate population at present makes us unable to do so.
If your plans include Andrews University this spring semester, and you are either in graduate school or are 22 or more years of age, you will need to arrange alternate housing plans. We suggest you contact the office of Family and Graduate Housing (269-471-6979) to inquire about apartments on or off campus: some area landlords have their names and phone numbers on record there, and you may consult or copy that list.
Wow, what a semester! We've had Sunday Sundaes, Girls' Night In, brownie night, KPG brunch, Open House and Lamson Lighting are just around the corner, and lots more is planned for Spring semester!! Keep watching posters and AU e-mails so you don't miss out on any of these fun and fellowship activities.
We know many will leave for clinicals, student teaching, or will complete their studies at the end of this semester. If you will not be returning to live in Lamson Hall this spring semester, your last day of paid fall rent is Thursday, December 11. If you or your belongings remain after that day, check your AU statement for additional daily rent, as we need to be assigning those spaces for incoming new spring students!
