WA8LKI AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
It was voted, by all members present, at the January, 2001 meeting to suspend
further operations of the Andrews University Amateur Radio Club.
It is hoped that there will a renewed interest in the near future.
The FCC is restructuring the licensing system effective April 15, 2000. You
should be aware of the changes. Details may be found at the
ARRL web site
In brief, the licenses will be reduced from 6 classes to three: Technician,
General, Extra. The only Morse code required will be at 5 wpm for the General
class.
