BIOGRAPHY: Byron Graves directs the bands and bell choirs at both Andrews Academy and Ruth Murdoch Elementary School. A 2007 graduate of Andrews University with a bachelors degree in music education and performance, he recently completed his masters degree in instrumental conducting at Central Michigan University. Prior to coming to Andrews Academy, he worked at Great Lakes Adventist Academy in Cedar Lake, Michigan. His goal is to involve as many students as possible in musical ensembles that produce incredible music devoted to bringing others closer to Christ. Besides being a passionate musician, Mr. Graves thoroughly enjoys all outdoor pursuits, particularly mountaineering, expedition canoeing, and backpacking. He is married to his beautiful wife, Jenni, who is a school psychologist with the Berrien County RESA.
