BIOGRAPHY: What with directing seven music organizations, Dean Boward has little time to get bored. He is the maestro of Chorale, Silhouettes, Men’s and Women’s Chorus, Handbell Ensemble, Concert Band and Orchestra. And he has been at it for over 17 years! Intense as it might be, Boward finds the job satisfying. He says that watching and hearing the students progress “from the first ‘sour’ note” to performing at venues like the General Conference Session and Carnegie Hall in New York City is “so rewarding.” When he’s not busy waving a baton, Boward enjoys collecting Department 56 Dickens Village houses and model railroading. He is married to a wonderful lady named Dorothy, and has two adult sons and daughters-in-law.
