BIOGRAPHY: You could say that by becoming a teacher, Gina Pellegrini was fulfilling her destiny. When she was in elementary school, all she could think about was becoming a teacher. Her parents are both retired teachers, her brother is a teacher, and several aunts and cousins are also teachers. After Pellegrini completed her elementary education degree at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, she taught in multi-grade classrooms for the Dakota Conference for the next three years. As she worked with several students who struggled with reading, she decided to pursue a program that would give her strategies to help her students. This led her to obtain a master’s degree in reading education at Andrews University. While at Andrews, Gina met her husband, Anton Pellegrini. They have two daughters, Alia and Arianna. “My wish for all my students is that they become best friends with Jesus, loving Him with all their hearts, so that some day we can all be in heaven together,” says Pellegrini.
