BIOGRAPHY: A Spanish/art teacher? Yes, at first it sounds strange, but when you think of Picasso, Goya, and Frida Khalo, the combination begins to make sense. So it isn’t much of a stretch that when Keila Sanchez came to Andrews Academy in 2005, she came as the art and Spanish teacher. She joined the AA team after teaching for one year at Rogers High School in Wyoming, Michigan. She loves being a teacher and believes God has given her the unique opportunity to touch the lives of her students in a creative way as she continues to grow a relationship with each of them and share the love of Jesus. Mrs. Sanchez likes to play sports, including beach volleyball and soccer, and enjoys spending time with her husband, Samir, her son, Jaziel, and their chihuahua, Samson.
