Position summary

The Department of History and Political Science invites applications for Assistant Professor in American History starting immediately. 

Qualifications summary

A Ph.D. in American History, area specialization open. Preference will be given to interests in women's history, African American, or non-Western history. 


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Duties and responsibilities

• Teach general education American History courses


• Teach History research methods


• Teach Honor's course


• Teach courses in area of specialization


• Student Advising


• Serve on University committees

Qualifications

University teaching experience and Ph.D. preferred, ABD's may apply but should complete the Ph.D prior to August 1. Candidates must have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, scholarly activity, active participation and service to the department and University.


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
