Position summary
The position of the Graduate Assistant for the Educational Leadership Department calls for an individual who will dedicate their skills and talents to facilitating communication, information, and opportunities for school administrators provided within the EDAL program. The responsibilities will involve. (1) Day to day operations, (2) Program Development, (3) Marketing and Recruiting, and (4) Networking. The GA will provide administrative and secretarial support to the EDAL Coordinator and students in the program including office work flow, setting appointments, preparing correspondence, and working on special projects such as conducting research and keeping regular communication with students. There may be times that duties preformed may be of sensitive and confidential nature, thus the utmost confidentiality will be expected and required.

- Prior experience in a school setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated: carries out duties and responsibilities with limited supervision
- Decision Making: establishes work priorities on essential procedure-oriented operations
- Passion for school administrators and their advancement
- Must have an undergraduate degree
- Educational Leadership Courses/Certification

Work environment
The office environment will be a busy setting at a desk. You will have to help people that come into the office with questions, answer the phone call, assist professors with immediate requests, and work significant hours on the computer.
