CONVENTION ADMINISTRATION - Housekeeping

Position summary

Manages, directs and participates in the cleaning and upkeep of 18 hotel-style guestrooms their associated areas.

Duties and responsibilities

Manages and schedules student workers.
Interacts and communicates with the guest reservation desk to aid in a smooth check-in and check-out process for guests.
Monitors guestroom supplies and cleaning products. Places product orders when necessary.
Monitors guestroom housekeeping budget.
Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Supervisory responsibilities

Supervise 2-3 student workers, managing their schedules as needed.

Qualifications


  1. Associates degree and/or managerial experience

  2. Experience in housekeeping preferably in a hotel setting

  3. A passion for Customers and Customer Service experiences required

  4. Attention to detail and an eye for cleanliness



Physical demands


  1. Must be able to bend over, twist, and work on hands and knees to perform cleaning duties

  2. Must be able to carry up-to 50lbs on a regular basis



Technical competencies


  1. Need the ability to learn software programs

  2. Operate a computer

  3. Drive a golf cart



Interpersonal interactions


  1. Ability to speak and communicate in english

  2. Ability to speak a second language is a plus



Work environment


  1. Work will involve cleaning beautiful guest rooms

  2. Cleaning laundry with industrial laundry equipment

  3. Washing dirty linens

  4. Folding Clean linens
