Duties and responsibilities

Download electronic copies of selected Adventist periodicals

Insert links to captive electronic copies of periodicals from the SDA Periodical Index for selected citation entries

Process incoming new materials to the Center for Adventist Research

Create labels as needed

Create preservation phase boxes and perform other conservation related tasks

Process and file new entries for the Center's Miscellaneous Collection

Various tasks associated with the Center's extensive digitization work.  This will include digitizing text, audio and photographic materials plus necessary post-scaning work.

Qualifications

High level of attention to detail and quality of work

High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite

Ability to hear, understand, and follow through on instructions without constant supervision

Good communication skills (understanding and speaking) in English

Full-time Andrews University student

If international, you must have the necessary visa allowing you to work in the United States

Ability to faithfully work at least 10 hours a week

Must have at least two hour blocks of time

Technical competencies

Prior experience in audio recording or copying and an understanding of different audio file types

Expereince in audio editing software such as Adobe Audition

Prior expereince in photograph digitzation and an understanding of different image file types

Expeirence with Adobe Photoshop

A demonstrable record of research and writing ability

Experience in video and reel to reel digitization

Will interact with students, staff, facultly and community
