Position summary
Acts as support to department faculty and administrative assistant. General reponsibilites include: answering phone, responding to emails, scheduleing appointments for Speech and Hearing clinic.
Qualifications summary
Good knowledge of office equipment including; photocopier, fax machine, document scanner. Able to answer phone courtesouly, take accurate messages. Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint helpful.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Answers phone taking accurate and complete information
- Greets all visitors and clients entering the department
- Distributes mail
- Files documents in client and student files, maintaining confidentiality
- Schedules appointments for the Speech & Hearing Clinic
- Assembles student visit/recruitment packets for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Assists in ordering supplies as directed by faculty and clinic director
- Works with the administrative assistant in the daily opeation of the department

Qualifications
High school diploma required, Associate Degree preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, CMS Website managing system.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

This position entails the need to multi-task. Interaction with faculty, students and clients is necessary. Therefore, interpersonal skills and a friendly professional demeanor is a must at all times.

Standing, streching up and bending down as needed to perform duties
