Position summary

Serve as central contact point to coordinate spiritual programming for all Lake Union Academies request for programming or qualified speakers, and campmeetings programming requests.

A successful individual will be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have excellent communication skills, planning and organizational skills, needs to be detail oriented, must be a self-starter, and must be able to relate and understand different cultures realizing that students are our customers. Be able to lead out and engage youth in a variety of settings, comfortable as a speaker, and interact easily with people who influence students in the college choice decision including parents and school officials. Must have excellent critical thinking, leadership, and decision-making abilities. A priority is being able to get along well with a variety of different team member personality types.
 
 

Duties and responsibilities

1- Office Support
•Manage financial budget for the Affirm Faith initiative.
•Manage an updated list of qualified and vetted speakers who can connect with the teenager demographic
•Represent Andrews University's Enrollment interests in selecting which events to attend.
•Develop resources (qualified speakers and teams) that can be easily accessible to represent Andrews University.
•Coordinate calendars with Enrollment Management and Campus Ministries
•When applicable lead out in meetings with representation from Enrollment Management and Campus Ministries.
2- Lake Union Academies
•Develop and execute a strategy to provide spiritual influence at each Lake Union Academy.
•Plan at least 1 event per year at each of the Lake Union Academies: vespers, week of prayer, devotional, Sabbath programing, etc...
•Establish relationship with principals, youth pastors and spiritual leaders at each academy/conference to develop a partnership for spiritual engagement
•Coordinate travel arrangements for designated speaker

3- Churches in Lake Union


•Coordinate travel arrangements for designated speaker/team

     4.)   Schedule
The coordinators schedule requires availability during the first two weeks of August for onsite school visits with the enrollment team.   Regular weekly hours are flexible and should be arranged with the Affirm Faith Team supervisor.

The following work environment characteristics represent the atmosphere an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
