Position summary
Teaching full-time undergraduate and graduate courses in music history, musicology, and research in music.
Qualifications summary
PhD in Musicology/Music History. Evidence of excellence in teaching and potential for scholarly activity are essential. Commitment to teamwork and collegiality. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work with students and colleagues with a wide range of national, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Engage in full-time teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Music History, Musicology, and Research in MusicAdvise undergraduate and graduate students
- Assist in growing and strengthening the Department
- Guide graduate research projects/theses, and Honors/Senior projects
- Serve on departmental and university committees
Supervisory responsibilities
Supervise Graduate Teaching Assistants and students workers.

Work environment
- The work environment conditions for this job are similar to those found in any regular office and classroom environment. The noise level in the work environment includes music from rehearsal rooms nearby, instruments playing, and vocalization; however, the noise is usually moderate.
