Position summary

The Annual Giving Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the solicitation of unrestricted funds on an annual basis.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.  Must have computer skills that allow for research to be conducted via the internet, as well as word processing skills.  Must have excellent writing skills.


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Duties and responsibilities



Supervisory responsibilities

The Annual Giving Coordinator is responsible for hiring and supervising all student workers who are hired for Phonathon.  This includes the student supervisors as well as all other student callers.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports and business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of faculty, donors, students and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Work environment

The work environment is conducive to all work pertaining to raising funds for Andrews University.  There is a conference room for group collaboration and an office designated for this position for doing research, planning, or making phone calls.
