Why Study at Andrews?
Travel and Tours
The Behavioral Sciences Department offers field trips abroad as well as tours which may enrich your area of study. For example, students interested in cultural enhancement and missions may tour Peru and the Andes mountains, a trip that is offered every other year. Stops on the tour include the Amazon River, Lima, Cuzco, and Lake Titicaca. Andrews will subsidize tour costs as students register for required courses.
Students interested in archaeology may participate in archaeological research projects overseas. The Madaba Plains Project at Tall Hisban in Jordan is offered every other year and focuses on the Islamic centuries, particularly the Mamluk governor's palace area and the Ottoman cave village.
Psychology students may also attend the Midwest Psychological Association in Chicago.
Egypt Tour 2006
August 10 to August 23, 2006, thirty-six students and faculty from Andrews University, under the direction of Stefanie Elkins, and with La Sierra University, under the direction of Dr. Robert Bates, toured the country of Egypt gaining 6 credits in the Art & Architecture of Ancient Egypt, and/or 3 credits in Biblical Backgrounds, Perspectives of the Middle East and Culture, Place, and Interdependence.
Our tour began in Cairo where we visited the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the famous Cairo museum where we got to see the treasures of King Tut including his famous golden burial mask. Egypt Tour Report from 2006

However, these databases are free for you to use as an AU student.
