Biography:
Donald D. Barton is Associate Professor of Clinical Laboratory Science at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, MI. He joined the faculty in 2009.
Born in Los Angeles, CA, Barton received a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Pacific Union College in 1981. He received a Master of Science in Microbiology from Loma Linda University in 1985. Barton holds certification with the American Society for Clinical Pathology.Before coming to Andrews, Barton served as Point-of-Care Coordinator at St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center in Grand Junction, CO. Previous to this he had worked several years in Hematology and Microbiology. He has also worked as an independent database developer of quality assurance software for use in the clinical laboratory. In addition, Barton has prior teaching experience at California State University in San Bernardino, CA, and La Sierra University in Riverside, CA, where he taught microbiology and virology.
Don is married to Cindy and has two daughters.
