Affiliate Guest Students

The Affiliate Guest Student Senior Clinical Year Program is designed for student working towards a degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences at one of our affiliate colleges or universities. This Program allows CLS students from Atlantic Union College, Oakwood College, Southern Adventist University, Southwestern Adventist University, and Union College, to complete the first 3 years of preclinical studies in Clinical Laboratory Sciences at their home school and then come to Andrews to complete the Senior year, known as the Clinical Year.

Guest students must complete all required coursework from their home college/university prior to the start of the Clinical Year. Upon successful completion of the Clinical year Program, a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology is awarded by the home college/university.

The Clinical Year Program is comprised of 47 credits (See Undergraduate Curriculum and Timeline, Clinical Year Program). Twenty-four credits in lecture and student laboratories are taught on the Berrien Springs campus. The remainder 23 credits are earned through clinical practica at one of our affiliate hospitals or clinical laboratory sites located throughout the United States where students work side by side with practicing laboratory professionals in patient health care.
