Biography:
Beverly Matiko teaches for Communication, English and Honors. In addition to her Andrews years, she has also taught at Newbold College in England and Canadian University College in Canada. Her primary teaching interests are in performance and writing. Her number one hobby is hospitality: cooking, baking, and entertaining. She enjoys letter writing (the old fashioned way) and foreign films. Her favorite local haunt is Vickers Theatre in Three Oaks, Michigan. She was born in Canada and spent most of her growing up years in Toronto.


Current Research or Professional Activities:
Beverly Matiko recently finished an article for the Journal of Adventist Education on teaching students how to be better public readers of scripture.  She has published on the Irish writer Frank McCourt, and has in process projects on The Song of Songs and on Virginia Woolf.
