Welcome Back Brunch

Students were welcomed back to Andrews and the English Department by generous helpings of homemade quiche and pastries.


Dr. Stella Greig's Retirement Party
Dr. Stella Greig's 40 years of service to Adventist education were celebrated on September 27, 2009. Her retirement celebration included a phonetically correct cake and many well wishers.
J.O. Waller Lectureship in the Arts
The first annual John O. Waller Lectureship on the arts took place on October 28, with William S. Peterson, an emeritus professor from University of Maryland, speaking on "William Morris's Pocket Cathedral: The Kelmscott Press Chaucer." Dr. Peterson was a former colleague of Dr. Waller's at Andrews University. The lecture was preceded by a special dinner for grad students, faculty and the featured speaker.
Annual Yankee Book Swap

Students gathered at Michiana Christian Service camp for the 2009 Yankee Book Swap. Some of the most desired books from this year's swap were: Post Secret by Frank Warren, Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer, and Inheart by Cornelia Funke.
