Jordan & Egypt History Tour

The purpose of this trip is to introduce students to the History, Culture and Politics of the Middle East by focusing on two countries; Jordan and Egypt. Students will visit historical and cultural sites in Jordan and Egypt and meet with politicians in each country as well as grassroots activists responsible for the recent political changes in Egypt. Students will explore ancient cities, temples and monuments including Jerash, Petra and Kerak in Jordan and the Pyramids, Valley of the Kings and Karnak in Egypt.

Jordan and Egypt History Tour Itinerary

ACCOMMODATIONS: Tourist class hotels based on double occupancy with bath. Single-room supplement is $900.

MEALS: Full board for Jordan and Egypt are included; does not apply to meals in the USA, meals not included in the itinerary, room service, or tea or other beverages not included in the menu of the day. If a passenger chooses not to have a meal, there will be no refund for unused meals.

SIGHTSEEING: Sightseeing tours include services of English-speaking guides and entrance fees to places listed in the itinerary. Sightseeing transportation will be provided by best available air-conditioned motor coaches, or other vehicles depending upon circumstances at the time of tour operation. Camels, gondolas, and boats may be featured on some excursions. Tips to guides and drivers are included.

PASSPORTS, VISAS: A valid US passport is required for US citizens. If you do not have a passport, please contact your local passport office. Passports must be valid 6 months after return date. For all other nationalities, please consult your country’s consulate.

BAGGAGE: Includes the transportation and handling of two pieces of luggage per person throughout within the limits of airline regulations.

TOUR PRICE: Price is based on international tariffs and rates in effect on Date of Proposal. Price is based on a minimum of 20 passengers using double occupancy. In the event that a minimum of passengers does not book the tour within 45 days of departure the agent reserves the right to cancel or re-cost the tour. Late booking or changes may result in an additional fee. Airfare and regulations are subject to change without notice and can carry penalties and surcharges until final payment has been received. Price includes the transportation and handling of two pieces of luggage per person throughout within the limits of airline regulations.

THE TOUR COSTS DO NOT INCLUDE: Deposit $200, passports, visas, spending money for souvenirs, cost of personal/trip cancellation and baggage insurance, transportation of excess baggage, immunizations, passports, health insurance, personal trip insurance, all items of a personal nature such as laundry, beverages, drinks, extra gratuities, optional excursions or deviations from the scheduled tour, individual transfers to join or leave the group once the tour has commenced, meals not shown as included, menu items not on the table, beverages, and any item not specifically mentioned as included.
