Don Rhoads taught at Andrews from 1962 to 1972, and again from 1998 to 2006. He chaired the Department of Mathematics from 2000 to 2006. For 13 years he led an Adventist congregation near Indianapolis in a simple form of liturgical worship. He is now retired with his wife Jean to a comfortable weedpatch near Bloomington, Indiana.
Don loves music and the arts, supports environmental causes, and plants prairie grasses and wildflowers wherever he can. Among his heroes are Jimmy Carter, Johann Sebastian Bach, and his marvelous colleagues in the Mathematics Department and elsewhere on the Andrews campus. His campus passion is an outstanding undergraduate program that brings success to students of all backgrounds and ethnicities.
