Biography:
Henrietta Hanna is assistant professor of nursing on the campus of Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Mich. She joined the faculty in 2004.Born in James Cistern, Eleuthera, Bahamas, Hanna graduated from the Ministry of Health, Department of Nursing, Naussau, Bahamas, in 1982, with a registered nurse certificate. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in secondary education (biology and religion) in 1991 from Northern Caribbean University, Mandeville, Jamaica. In 1995, she received a master's degree, specializing in clinical nursing, from Andrews University.
Hanna earned her doctoral degree in 2006 from Barry University, Miami Shores, Fla. The title of her dissertation is: �The Influence of Self-efficacy and Spirituality in older African Americans with type 2 diabetes.�
Before coming to Andrews, Hanna served as a registered nurse in the Bahamas and in Berrien Center, Mich., as well as a nurse in case management in St. Joseph, Mich. She also served as a nursing instructor at Northern Caribbean University.
Hanna has also read several papers at scholarly conferences, including Sigma Theta Tau International Conference.
She is married to Martin F. Hanna. They have one daughter and two sons.
