GPA: 3.0 minimum in both natural science and general courses to be eligible. 3.3 to be competitive.

Prerequisite Courses: A bachelor’s degree or 92 semester credits including 15 upper division
credits in 3 content areas.

Clinical Observation: 80 hours supervised by a licensed PT in at least 2 different settings; at
least 20 in an inpatient setting.

Application Materials: At least 4 science
prerequisite courses and a minimum of 64
semester credits must be completed prior to
beginning the application process.

Personal Interview: Applicants who meet the admissions criteria are invited for a personal interview with admissions personnel either on campus or by phone.

Graduate Record Exam (GRE): A composite score of 700 (verbal + quantitative). Submit scores from the General Test taken less than five years prior to enrollment in the program. Phone 888-372-2255 or email gre-info@ets.org or check website www.gre.org (Andrews' school code is #1030).

Guaranteed Acceptance
(No interview or confirmation deposit necessary)
Acceptance into the program is GUARANTEED if a student enrolls as a freshman BHS: Physical Therapy major, completes at least 90% of prerequisite course requirements at Andrews, maintains at least a 3.3 science and overall GPA, meets other program admission requirements, upholds university standards and displays professional behavior.

Preferred Acceptance
(Requires interview and confirmation deposit)
Acceptance into the program is PREFERRED when a student transfers into Andrews University for at least their last semester prerequisite requirements, maintains at least a 3.3 science and overall GPA, meets all program admission requirements, and upholds university standards and displays professional behavior.

General Acceptance
(Requires an interview and confirmation deposit)
The Andrews University physical therapy program enrolls students from a nationwide pool. GENERAL Acceptance includes any student who has completed prerequisite requirements from an accredited college or university (or U.S. equivalent), maintains at least a 3.0 science and overall GPA, meets all program admission requirements, and upholds university standards and displays professional behavior.
