Welcome to the Social Work Department

Welcome to the Andrews University Department of Social Work. We are delighted that you have chosen this field either as your major or to continue your education through our Masters program. As you attend Andrews University, we hope that you learn to love the unique profession of social work and find an exciting, diverse population that fits you and your personality.

This student handbook has been designed as the social work student's aid in understanding the Social Work major, Social Work Department, and various requirements of Andrews University. inside of the handbook you will find information such as expectations of students, the social work curriculum, National Association of Social Workers (NASW) information, as well as the requirements for the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the handbook, read it over, and know where to find certain questions and answers if the need were to arise.
