SPLAD Students attend Conferences
Students in the Department of Speech- Language Pathology and Audiology (SPLAD) were privileged to attend three professional conferences during the Fall 2008 semester. On September 12th, faculty member Mrs. Brynja Davis and eleven senior students attended a seminar entitled:" Evaluation and Treatment of Childhood Apraxia of Speech."
On October 31st, seven students accompanied by Dr. Lena Caesar, attended the Charles Van Riper Conference in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Then in November, about 20 SPLAD majors attended the national ASHA convention in Chicago. Professors (Caesar, Davis and Regal) accompanied the students who attended this convention.
All three conferences provided students with oppurtunities not only for gaining knowledge regarding the lastest advances in the field, but also for developing valuable partnerships with other Universities.
