About Computer Science

Computer Science is a scientifically oriented discipline that studies computer architecture and areas of computer applications. Areas of study include artificial intelligence, compilers, computer graphics, computer networks, operating systems, software development, and analytical theory.

Computers Science majors are challenged to indentify, formulate, and solve engineering and computing problems, and to design and carry out experiments that will support these solutions. They learn to apply the theories of science, mathematics, engineering, and computing in order to creatively design practical and economical solutions to define problems. They also have the opportunities to advance their disciplines through research and internships, to address contemporary issues.
