Student Work

A variety of work opportunities are available to students pursuing a major or minor in photography. Students can assist professors, help set up galleries, shoot stock photography, and provide photographs for the Cardinal yearbook, Student Movement, and various other campus venues.

Students are also encouraged to submit their work in galleries, many of which offer monetary rewards. The Jeanmarie Gallery Awards provides an annual opportunity for students to showcase their work in several categories such as 3-D modeling, Natural Light Photography, Web publishing, and interactive media. Digital Media & Photography students may enter their work, which will then be judged by local professionals in each category. Students take advantage of the awards not only to network with possible future employers in their chosen field, but also for the cash prizes and recognition.
