Holbrook Indian School
Griggs has formed a partnership with Holbrook Adventist Indian School in Arizona. This alliance will provide the opportunity for Native Americans to complete two years of college while staying in their familiar setting of Holbrook Adventist Indian School.
Studies have shown that Native American students, like most, are more likely to succeed in college when they feel comfortable and safe in the academic environment. Griggs is committed to taking an accredited college program to these students – providing the curriculum, materials, academic support, and assisting Holbrook by employing local teachers. Our goal is to work intensively with the students, building on strengths and addressing their educational needs in a one-on-one environment during the important first two years of college.
Success breeds success. Students who have two years of college and an associates degree are much more likely to complete a bachelor’s degree, which will better equip them to compete in today’s world.
By assisting in the development of a local college campus at Holbrook Adventist Indian School, your gift will empower a Native American to reach for a fulfilling future.
