The course focuses on ways in which psychological knowledge is applied to teaching at each domain (physical, social, emotional, and cognitive) as individual characteristics that influence instructional decisions. Additionally, it includes an investigation of theories of learning and motivation and their instructional applications in educational settings.

Educational Tests and Measurements

A course designed to provide functional knowledge of the meaning, use, and operation of tests and measurements in education. Use of measurement procedures in collecting data and applying appropriate statistical procedures in interpreting the results is presented. The role of evaluation in classroom instruction, the development of standardized tests, teacher-made tests, and other types of tests, as well as the grading system, are studied.
