Extensions
Course Time Limits for Griggs University, and Consortium Students (AU, OU, and WAU courses with services offered by Griggs University)
All students are given six months from date of enrollment to finish courses. After six months from date of enrollment, further extensions may not be granted. To obtain credit for that course, a student must enroll again and purchase new materials. If taking courses to transfer the credit to another institution to meet a degree requirement, students are encouraged to finish their courses within four months.
In extenuating circumstances, a three-month extension may be granted if 50+% of course is completed prior to deadline and the extension is requested prior to the deadline. The extension fee is $75 per course.
Financial Aid Implications
Consult your financial advisor before registering for distance courses, to be sure you understand what financial aid is available and the time limits.
- If seeking Financial Aid, students must register and complete the course(s) within the time frame that Andrews University defines as an academic year because Andrews University is a semester school.
- For Pell Grants specifically, students must complete 50% of all lessons in all enrolled correspondence courses before their Pell Grant can be disbursed.
