The Center for Secular and Postmodern Studies at the Office of Adventist Mission,
General Conference and the Department of World Mission at the Seventh-day Adventist
Theological Seminary, Andrews University, are sponsoring a symposium on a postmodern sensitive mission that will be held at Andrews University on October 18-20, 2012.

The symposium is entitled “Revisiting Postmodernism: An Old Debate in a New Era – The Relevance of Adventist Mission in the 21st Century.” This will be the very first “official” symposium on postmodernism at this level within our church.

The purpose of this endeavor is to provide the church with a more open dialogue on the subject of postmodernism coming from various areas. This will be an interdisciplinary symposium including papers that have been presented by scholars from different fields such as history, literature, philosophy, arts, technology, urban affairs, theology, and of course, mission.
