On Thursday, Sept. 13, around 4 p.m. the Andrews University severe weather siren will undergo its annual service/maintenance. This will require activation of the siren to ensure it is in good working order. Please disregard the sounding siren, it is only part of the maintenance check.

The severe weather siren is used as emergency notification to campus in the event the National Weather Service issues a tornado warning for our area. When activated, the siren sounds for three minutes followed by a one-minute pause, and continues at such intervals until the emergency is over.

In addition to the severe weather siren, Andrews University relies on the use of AU Alert to notify the campus of all emergencies through text message, email and phone call. To register to receive AU Alerts or to configure your settings, please go to https://www.getrave.com/login/andrews, and login with your Andrews University username and password.
