For more than two decades, Marcia has been involved in international work with academic institutions, governments, and healthcare facilities in a number of countries. For the last four years, she has been working in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea). She led out in the delivery of laboratory equipment and training of laboratory personnel for four regional tuberculosis hospitals. Marcia also participated in the upgrading of the National Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory in Pyongyang, where she continues to provide advanced laboratory training twice a year.
