Wind Symphony Winter Concert

The Andrews University Wind Symphony, under the direction of Alan Mitchell, will present their annual Winter Concert in the Howard Performing Arts Center. 

The first half of the concert will feature the Southwestern Michigan College Brass Band under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Korzun. The Brass Band will perform Winter Games arr. by Foster, Prelude 49th Parallel by Vaughan Williams, Cute by Hefti, Tara’s Theme by Steiner, Stop the Calvary by Lewie and Seize the Day by Graham.

The second half of the concert will feature the AU Wind Symphony performing music from films. Selections will include Silverado  by Boughton, Lincoln by J. Williams,  Dartmoor, 1912 from War Horse by J. Williams, Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz by Allen featuring Stephany Recinos, and Raider’s March from Raiders of the Lost Ark by J. Williams. The concert will conclude with Mambo from Westside Story by Bernstein.

General admission is $5, students and senior admission is $3 and children under 12 are free. Call the Howard Center Box Office at 471-3560 for tickets.
