Educaiton in Rural Communities of Developing Countries
Wed, October 15, 2014 @ 05:30 pm - 07:00 pm
The Andrews International Center for Educational Research (AICER) presents Karena Griffiths, an Andrews University Social Work Graduate Student. Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at 5:30 pm.
Topic: Education in Rural Communities of Developing Countries
Hundreds of children in rural communities are denied the opportunity to continue their education after primary school because the distance to secondary school is not financially possible or safe. One issue I observed in Madagascar is the lack of quality education and the absence of secondary schools in rural neighborhoods. This presentation examines ways to improve education and the types of emphasis secondary schools may focus on to improve rural communities’ educational standards in developing countries.
Venue: Bell Hall, Room 180
