Enrollment Process

PreVue and Registration Central are easy ways to see all the steps you still need to be accepted, enrolled, and financially cleared.

preVue

One way to get a snapshot of what steps you still need to take to enroll at Andrews is to check out your personal preVue page (you can link to it from connect.andrews.edu).

Things you can view on preVue:

  • Your picture.
  • Your home address and phone number.
  • Your advisor and declared major (if decided).
  • Your academic information such as ACT/SAT scores, final High School GPA, Math Placement Exam scores, and Andrews Partnership Scholarship estimate.
  • Communication with you from Andrews such as brochures, e-mails, letters, or postcards.
  • Your previous college experience and transfer credits (if any).
  • Your admissions status with a checklist of items needed for acceptance and the date when they are checked off.
  • Your enrollment status which details the forms and materials needed after acceptance.
  • Your housing and roommate status.

Once you're ready to register for classes or complete your financial clearance, check out Registration Central.

Registration Central

You can start registering for classes before you attend by working directly with your academic advisor and using the Registration Central online resource (you can link to Registration Central at andrews.edu/go/register). Registration Central is available in March for fall semester registration (or two months before spring or summer semester begins).

Course Registration will:

  • List your major (if decided) and the name of your academic advisor.
  • Give you the opportunity to verify and update your home and e-mail addresses.
  • List any holds, electronic barriers that prevents you from registering for classes until you have done what it requires, that you have. Be sure to take care of any holds before contacting your academic advisor for course registration because registration can only occur once all holds are removed.
  • Allow you and your advisor to select courses. Once your final transcript has arrived at the University, you may contact your academic advisor or department to begin the course registration process. If you do not complete this process before coming to campus, you will have an opportunity to do so with your advisor during Orientation Week. If you don't know who your advisor is, or if you wish to change academic major, call Student Success at 269.471.6205.

Registration Central must also be used to complete your financial clearance, which you need to complete before you attend class.

Financial Plan (available after July 15) will:

  • Ask you to sign a responsibility statement.
  • Ask for insurance information. You are required to have health insurance as an Andrews student. International students are required to have insurance for themselves and their families. You may enter a waiver if you have insurance coverage that is valid in Michigan. Otherwise, you are required to purchase insurance through Andrews.
  • Ask for the number of credit hours for which you expect to register.
  • Ask you to set your Bookstore and ITS Store spending limits, select a meal plan, and indicate your place of residence (only the residence hall option will be available unless you are 22 years of age or older, or have received approval to live with your parents in the community from the Student Life office.)
  • Calculate your financial plan and give you the opportunity to pay online.

Having a financial plan in place is essential to your registration process. The sooner you do this after July 15, the better. Your first payment must be receipted by August 15. Financial clearance allows you to charge at the University Bookstore and the cafeteria, as well as to have access to library book loans and other university services.
