| Primary Duties: |
- Teach Homiletics and other Practical Theology courses in the Seminary
- Direct field education for Master of Divinity students
- Train and mentor students from all cultural backgrounds
- Advise students at the masters and doctoral levels
- Provide advocacy and leadership in the areas of Homiletics and Ministry to the Seminary, Andrews University, the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and the wider Christian community
- Carry regular faculty responsibilities related to teaching, research and publication, and service
- Participate in Seminary and University life and responsibilities

| Qualifications: |
- An earned terminal degree (Ph.D., DMin) in Homiletics or Ministry or related discipline.
- Proven competence in preaching and ministry leadership and respected within the Adventist community
- Pastoral experience required and teaching experience preferred
- Record of academic engagement, professional expertise, and an on-going research agenda in Homiletics and Ministry preferred
- Commitment to mentor students
- Willingness to assume leadership and administrative responsibilities
- Skill at fostering good working relationships among colleagues and students
- Solid support of Seventh-day Adventist principles, beliefs, and mission
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing. |
