Internet Explorer and the Internet
This lesson introduces Internet Explorer, a commonly used World Wide Web browser.
The World Wide Web, commonly referred to as the Web, is a graphical interface to the Internet. While most information stored on Internet servers is text-based, Web documents include color, graphics, video and sound. A Web browser is the software which allows a computer to interpret this data in a form that humans can understand.
There are several Web browser programs. The James White Library uses Internet Explorer and FireFox.
