May 15, 12:30-1:30 pm Library Birthday Celebration.
James White Library is celebrating its 75th anniversary and the 150th anniversary of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (GC) with a program and a birthday cake. Previous and current library directors/deans will share their recollections; people who have worked at the James White Library at one time or another will be given recognition. Merlin Burt will give a history of the library and the General Conference. Guests are invited to view displays highlighting the history of the GC in the Center for Adventist Research. After the program, Terry Robertson will conduct an oral history to gather information about the library.
