Information Resources
The Architecture Resource Center houses approximately 80 periodical titles, including national and international journals in the fields of architectural education, theory, psychology, industrial design, landscaping and others.
The Environmental Design Research Association
(EDRA) Collection is a special collection of books that have
been carefully collected for research purposes since 1968 and are
housed in the Architecture Research Center. EDRA is an international,
interdisciplinary organization founded in 1968 by design professionals,
social and behavioral scientists, students, educators, and environmental
managers. The purpose of EDRA is to advance the art and science
of environmental design research, to improve understanding of the
interrelationships between people and their built environment along
with the natural surroundings, and to help create environments responsive
to human needs. The ARC is responsible for the annual EDRA book display, which
has become the most sought-out location during the international
conference. The display is one of the most comprehensive in the
discipline of environmental behavior as it relates to architecture
and design. The ARC also publishes the annual EDRA Bibliography
at the time of the conference. The EDRA Collection
is also now available on the Web. |
