CAR-Center for Adventist Research

The Center holds over 260 collections of personal papers of individuals prominent in the SDA Church and its work. These collections often include correspondence, topical files, lecture and sermon notes, research material, publications, photographs, reports, and many other types of material. All of the collections available for research use are shown below. All have a printed register, which is an information and user guide to the collections. A. G. Daniells Collection (1 box)
Daniells was one of the leading administrators of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was the GC president at the time of the disastrous fires in Battle Creek, during the move to Washington, DC, during the Kellogg crisis, and others for 21 years. This collection has some of his correspondence from 1891 (when he was in Australia) to 1903.

Ernest P. Delaporte Collection (3 boxes)
Delaporte was a Catholic priest in France who converted to Seventh-day Adventism. The collection has articles and sermons he wrote as well as collected materials on Emile Zola.
