Manuscript Collections |

The
Center holds over 260 collections of personal papers of individuals prominent
in the SDA Church and its work. These collections often include correspondence,
topical files, lecture and sermon notes, research material, publications,
photographs, reports, and many other types of material. All of the collections
available for research use are shown below. All have a printed register,
which is an information and user guide to the collections. These online
registers require Adobe Acrobat software to view. Manuscript Collection Page A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z Daniel Walther Papers (15 boxes) Walther was a long-time teacher of church history at the SDA Theological Seminary. This collection includes correspondence, manuscripts by Walther, and topical files on many subjects. Theodora Wangerin Collection (4 boxes) Wangerin spend many years as a missionary to Korea. This collection, in la rge part, documents the work of the SDA Church in Korea. S. Douglas Waterhouse (1 box) Eight course syllabi created by Waterhouse on various Old Testament topics. Charles H. Watson Papers (1 box) The collection includes correspondence, sermons, manuscripts, and articles written by Watson and others. Watson served as the General Conference President for six years. Howard B. Weeks Collection of 20th Century Adventist Evangelism (24 boxes) Weeks was director of the General Conference Department of Communication. These papers were collected by Weeks while working on his dissertation. They contain evangelistic sermons, letters, teaching material, questionnaires, articles, visual aids, advertising brochures, and scrapbooks. Ellen G. White Estate Andrews University Branch Office Archive Collection (29 boxes) The Andrews University Branch Office was set up in the early 1960s. Through the years the Office accumulated a wide range of materials related to Ellen White, her work, and the work of the Estate. The collection is divided into two main parts. The first part consists of collections of Ellen G. White articles privately typed or clipped from periodicals by private individuals. It also includes samples of indexes compiled by private individuals for personal reference use. The second part of the collection consists of official White Estate records collected or used by the Ellen G. White Estate Branch Office. Portions of this part may be closed to general use. Ellen G. White's Experiences in Australia (1 box) In the 1890s Ellen White spent almost a decade in Australia and New Zealand. This collection documents her experiences there through articles, letters, and manuscripts. This material was gathered to prepare a book, but the last steps were never completed. Bruce M. Wickwire Papers (4 boxes) Wickwire worked in the publishing work of the SDA Church for most of his life. The last portion was at the General Conference Publishing Department. This collection do cuments many activities associated with the publishing work of the Church in the 1970s to 1990s. Wayne E. Willey (0.8 linear feet). Willey was a Seventh-day Adventist pastor for some years. This collection consists of topical files on theological subjects of interest to Willey. |
