To start your search, type in your search information (name of the person, place, building, etc.) in the "primary search criteria" box. This search will usually provide a more specific result. You may also do a "Search All Fields" search. This will search every word in the database and will return a more general search result.
If you do not know the exact spelling, leave a space in place of the letter(s) in question.
For Example, if you wanted to search for "Andreasen, Milian L." and you did not know
the exact spelling of the name, just leave a space in place of the character you are not sure of.
Here are some examples:
The "primary search criteria" can be used by itself.
The "secondary search criteria" may also be used by itself. However, the "secondary search criteria" may not produce the most successful results when used alone. Therefore, for most situations, the "secondary search criteria" should be used along with the "primary search criteria" to narrow down your search, unless you do a "Search All Fields."
