Phase Three of dining services renovations, which will begin March 24, will
be the construction of the exciting new marketplace servery and production
kitchen. This will require that production and service of meals be moved to
temporary quarters on the first floor of the Campus Center, where it will
remain until the project finish date of August 18, 2008.

The temporary servery will be set up in the present Gazebo seating area. It
will include two buffet hot lines, a salad bar, dessert and beverage
display. Gazebo short order service will also be available Monday through
Thursday 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., and Sunday 1:30-10
p.m.

All buffets and salad bar will be self-service and sold by weight, due to
differences in size of servings that will be chosen by customers. We will
continue to have pre-made sandwiches available, but will not have the
make-your-own sandwich deli during this time. 

Food will be produced in a trailer kitchen which will be located north of
the Campus Center with a ramp into a temporary door located on the north
wall of the Gazebo. The location of this trailer will require re-routing of
student traffic from the men's residences along the sidewalk which runs from
Meier Hall to Hamel Hall and south in front of Hamel Hall to the Campus
Center east entrance.

The north entrance to the Campus Center will be closed to customer traffic,
and customers will need to enter either the east entrance or south entrance
to the Campus Center. Customers will enter the Gazebo through the hallway
doors and exit through the east doors into the lounge area. All service will
be on disposable ware. Seating will be available in the lounge and also in
the newly decorated dining room on the 2nd floor for those who care to make
the trip up there.

The Dining Services staff ask for your patience during this difficult time
of transition, and we look forward to a beautiful new service area in the
fall.
