The first step in joining the Lamson community is completion of a Residence Hall Application; if you apply to the University but not to live in University housing, we will not know to prepare a place for you. To apply for the residence hall, go to the AU website, vault, residence hall occupancy, and follow prompts to fill in your lifestyle preferences, intended roommate, any special medical needs, etc. You may also go directly to https:/www.andrews.edu/go/roomapp and follow the prompts.
Lamson Hall currently houses undergraduates under 22 years of age.
Undergraduates 22 or older, and graduate students qualify for housing out of the residence hall, both in the community and in university housing. Those wishing to live on campus have the option of living in the brand new North Tower of University Towers, or in the University apartments of Graduate and Family Housing. Next, the $200 room deposit must be paid: it functions something like a security deposit would in an apartment and tells us you are definitely planning on living with us! This deposit is paid to Student Financial Services. When your room deposit is received you will be sent an automated e-mail confirmation, and upon your final check-out from Lamson Hall, and upon request, this room deposit is released back to your AU account.
Once these steps are complete, We will have the information we need to make a room and roommate assignment for you.
So the things you need to do to live in Lamson Hall are:
1. Request a room on-line, inlcuding lifestyles preferences, chosen roommate, etc. Be sure to check Lamson Hall as your preferred builsing, and fall 2011 as your preferred semester!
2. Submit your $200 room deposit
3. Check your preVue page and confirm that your application and deposit have been received.
4. Wait for confirmation of your room assignment and roommate information
