One of the biggest advantages of studying at Andrews is the changing of the seasons, which allows students to enjoy practically every outdoor sport during the course of the year. Extreme sports and water recreation may dominate the summer and fall months, but Michigan is particularly renowned for its winter recreation. For starters, there are 40 ski resorts in the state, and three within an hour of Andrews, all of which have terrain parks. Southwest Michigan is packed with cross-country skiing trails as well. If you’re into hockey or figure-skating, there’s a rink fifteen minutes from campus, and several more in South Bend. Finally, it’s said that you can go anywhere in Michigan on a snowmobile in the winter months. With over 4,000 miles of snowmobile trails, this Michigan myth is probably not far from the truth.
