Department Information

Most students take advantage of the exciting organized sports program that Andrews University offers.  The year-round intramural calendar includes men's and women's fast-pitch softball, flag football, soccer, basketball, floor hockey, badminton, golf and volleyball.  The deep pool of athletic talent means that there are a lot of teams and great competition, with championship t-shirts awarded during tournament play.

You can also try out for the school-sponsored Andrews Cardinals teams, which compete in local or intercollegiate leagues.  Andrews University has recently joined the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) for the 2005-2006 school year.  Cardinals basketball and soccer teams play against nearby NCAA Division 111 and NAIA Division 2 schools, while the Cardinals Ice Hockey squad belongs to the Kalamazoo men's hockey league. 

Finally, many students look forward to school-sponsored sporting events like the all-night tournaments, the Powder Puff Football Game, the dodgeball tournament or the Beach2Bank Challenge, Andrews' annual triathlon.
