Nursing Home Ministry
They want everything to do with us. Our spunk. Our youth. Our attention. Most importantly our love. The Bible says to "rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God" (Leviticus 19:32, NIV).
Our goal for the year is to form much needed relationships with as many people that our ministry comes into contact with at Orchard Grove Extended Care in Benton Harbor, Michigan in both the general care area and the Alzheimer’s/dementia ward. No previous experience is required - the only thing you must bring is a willing heart. With the Nursing Home Ministry, students incorporate music, the Bible, conversation, prayer, smiles, hugs, and other methods to reflect the amazingly endless love of Christ. This is a ministry for anyone who loves God, loves people and wants to share his or her passion with others.
