- Childhood memory of school: Miss Rhudd, my third grade teacher, read out loud to us after lunch each day. I can still remember her expressive voice weaving words into images in my mind. Three of the books that she read that year, remain my favorites till now: Beautiful Joe, The Secret Garden and Eight Cousins. Miss Rhudd created my love for books and reading.
- What I enjoy about working at RMES: Coming to teach at RMES was like coming home. Not only had I completed my Teaching Practicum at RMES, but when I met the faculty I was delighted to find old friends (from my teenage days) and fellow students (from my college days). In addition, I was able to reconnect with former students as I taught their children. What a pleasure it is to learn about new parts of the world as students from other countries and cultures enter my classroom each year. The unique multicultural opportunities offered at RMES, to students and teachers alike, is so valuable.
- Hobbies: In my "spare" time I love to READ. I also enjoy cross-stitching, creating watercolor pictures, taking pictures from my travels and making scrapbooks, and quilting.
- Education: Andrews University: BA. Elementary Education/English & History; Andrews University: M.A.T. Early Childhood Education
